Our leadership and staff

Our leadership/media/about/library/nb6.jpg

The church is currently in pastoral vacancy and in the process of looking for a new minister.

The day to day management of the Church is undertaken by a group of deacons, who are elected by the church on a three-year cycle.

We also have a Ministry Support Worker and Children and Young People's worker.

/media/about/library/img_4251.jpgTheresa - Ministry Support Worker

Theresa is married to John and has two teenage daughters. A Youth Worker in her early twenties, she has also worked as a Care Assistant and a Playworker, running an After School Club. Returning to work after having the girls, Theresa retrained as a Teaching Assistant and worked in a local school for thirteen years, which she loved.

She has been a member of NBC for about 20 years and been involved in many aspects of church life in that time. In 2017 Theresa started to explore a call to ministry and is currently training to become an Accredited Pastor.

Theresa is employed part-time as our Ministry Support Worker, she has particular responsibility for pastoral care at Ash Grove, the development of the music group and contributing to our Sunday services. Theresa is passionate about helping people to meet with God, wants to encourage our church family to learn from each other and brings her pastoral heart and sense of humour to everything she does.

/media/about/library/img_0913.jpgAbbie - Children's & Young People's worker

Abbie grew up in Lancashire where she developed a passion for music - playing piano, guitar and singing as well as a love of theatre.

Abbie has felt the call into children’s and young people’s ministry from a young age and worked in a variety of contexts before moving to Birmingham to join NBC in 2016 as our Children's & Young People's worker. She is enthusiastic about seeing children and young people be the best they can be and releasing their God-given potential. Abbie has a real drive to see children and young people grow strong in their relationship with God and become faithful followers of Jesus.

Abbie works with the Girls' Brigade, Boys' Brigade, Sunday-night youth-group 'Trinity' and the youth band, bringing her gifts and talents and bright enthusiasm to them all.
