Our leadership and staff

Our leadership/media/about/library/nb6.jpg

The church is led by our Minister, Rev. Dave Tubby, and a group of deacons, who are elected by the church on a three-year cycle.

We also have a Children and Young People's worker, Abbie Crawford, who works with us part-time, while also training for a degree in Youth & Community work with Practical Theology at St John's, Nottingham.

Dave is married to Rachel, and together they have two young children, Matthew and Charlotte.

Dave has a real desire to see people come to know God and grow in their relationship with Him each day, through fellowship, discipleship and prayer. He believes prayer is the most powerful thing we can do (though you’d probably expect him to say that!), and loves working with children and young people.

He is excited about seeing God moving in Northfield, and is very active within the community. He is Chair of Northfield Stakeholders' Group, on the board of Northfield Community Partnership and chaplain of the care-home, Ash Grove.

He is also a Brentford fan which keeps him humble and grounded. In his free time, he enjoys walking in the hills and spending time with his family.

Abbie grew up in Lancashire where she developed a passion for music - playing piano, guitar and singing as well as a love of theatre.

Abbie has felt the call into children’s and young people’s ministry from a young age and worked in a variety of contexts before moving to Birmingham to join NBC in 2016 as our Children's & Young People's worker. She is enthusiastic about seeing children and young people be the best they can be and releasing their God-given potential. Abbie has a real drive to see children and young people grow strong in their relationship with God and become faithful followers of Jesus.

Abbie works with the Girls' Brigade, Boys' Brigade, Sunday-night youth-group 'Trinity' and the youth band, bringing her gifts and talents and bright enthusiasm to them all.
